Southeastern Regional Championship Mountain Bike Race

Where: Tsali Recreation Area

This annual mountain bike race is a favorite of racers throughout the Southeast.  Held on the trails at the Tsali Recreation Area in Western North Carolina, some of the most famous trails in the Eastern US, this event has classes for all ages and levels with no prequalifying. Thousands of dollars in cash and prizes, series awards banquet.  More info

Spring Garden Fair

Where: Cherokee Indian Fairgrounds, 545 Tsali Blvd. Cherokee, N.C.

The Annual Spring Garden Fair is sponsored by Principal Chief Patrick Lambert and Legend Weaver Studios. You can expect vendors, demonstrations, classes, educational materials, door prizes, & much more! Participants will be able to purchase seeds, plants, flowers, seedlings, yard art, etc. Join us and get excited about spring!

NOC Trail Festival

Thru-hikers and casual adventurers gather to celebrate the 2,181+ mile-long Appalachian Trail and support the Appalachian Trail Conservancy. Join us for hiker-themed games, movies, lectures and prizes. And for anyone having trouble with their gear, check out the free repair area. More info

Cherokee Heritage Day

Peanuts the Easter Beagle Express Train Event

The Great Smoky Mountains Railroad welcomes back The PEANUTS™ Easter Beagle Express! Train travels along the Tuckasegee River into the quaint town of Dillsboro for the 1 ½ hour layover. (total 4 hrs)

Gadugi Earth Day

NOC Spring Fling

Where: Nantahala Outdoor Center, Bryson City

Celebrate spring in the Smoky Mountains with a free, family-friendly event in the Nantahala Gorge. Don't miss the Hometown Throwdown, a community freestyle event hosted by World Kayak, vendor fair and gear demos at NOC's Outfitter's Store, live music, and family-friendly activities.

Scheduled releases of the Cascades and Upper sections of the Nantahala River round out this action packed Bryson City weekend. More info
