The Polar Express

The 1 ¼ hour round-trip excursion on the Great Smoky Mountain Railroad comes to life as the train departs Bryson City for a special visit at the "North Pole." Set to the sounds of the motion picture soundtrack, guests on board will enjoy warm cocoa and a treat while listening and reading along with the magical story.

The train arrives to find Santa Claus waiting. Santa boards the train greeting each child and presenting them with their own silver sleigh bell. Christmas carols will be sung as they return back to the Bryson City Depot. Call 800-872-4681 or click here

Cherokee Lights and Legends

This three-day Christmas event invites your family to stroll under the lights through fun, interactive displays that tell ancient Cherokee Christmas legends. And that’s just for starters. You can also see our 40-ft. Christmas tree, have a visit and get your picture taken with Santa or one of the other holiday characters, and go for a spin on our synthetic ice rink.

Cherokee Lights & Legends

THESE DATES ARE TENTATIVE.....PLEASE CHECK BACK LATER IN THE YEAR FOR EXACT DATES.

 

This event entails a lights display, live Santa Clause, Synthetic Ice Rink, indoor activities including two bouncy houses (16’ slide & a rainbow castle), 9-hole mini golf course, face painting, balloon animals, creating a Par-T-Pet (Similar to Build-a-Bear), as well as an onsite vendor who will provide free cotton candy & popcorn. Outside on the Fairgrounds, there will be food venders, interactive legend exhibits, a bonfire, as well as a 40ft Christmas tree! There will be fun, food, & Fireworks available! An overall great experience for the whole family to enjoy! 

FREE ADDMISSION! 

    $5—Skating (30 minutes)

    $5—Picture with Santa (includes a CD containing one picture)

    $7—All activities inside exhibit hall.

    $10 – For the Par-T-Perfect pets (not included in the bundle)

Back Porch Old Time Music Jam
